Kiribati Establishes Permanent Mission in Geneva

The Government of the Republic of Kiribati is pleased to announce the establishment of the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Kiribati to the United Nations Office and other International Organizations in Geneva.

The opening of the Mission marks an important milestone in Kiribati’s diplomatic engagement with the international community and reflects the Government’s commitment to strengthening its participation in multilateral cooperation, international dialogue, and global decision-making processes.

The Permanent Mission will serve as Kiribati’s official representation in Geneva, engaging with the United Nations, specialized agencies, international organizations, development partners, and Member States on issues of national and global importance.

Through the Mission, Kiribati aims to advance its priorities in the areas of:

  • Climate Change and Climate Resilience
  • Sustainable Development
  • Human Rights
  • Health and Social Development
  • Trade and Economic Cooperation
  • Oceans and Marine Resources
  • International Partnerships

The Mission will work closely with international partners to promote the interests of the people of Kiribati while contributing constructively to global discussions and initiatives.
